Rob Hernandez is the Program Assistant and Office Manager at the Center for the Political Future, where he assists Mike Murphy and Bob Shrum with scheduling, research, and event-based support. He also assists the CPF staff with logistics and all around office coordination.
In 2014 Rob served as a White House Intern in the National Economic Council during President Obama’s term, where he assisted the policy advisors with research support and office coordination. Later in 2016, Rob joined Secretary Clinton’s presidential campaign where he was a Delegate Operations Associate based at the Brooklyn HQ for the primary. He then traveled with the campaign to Michigan to serve as the Deputy Operations Director in the general election. In 2018, Rob joined the Democratic National Committee where he served as a researcher. He then joined Tom Steyer’s presidential campaign in the 2020 primary season. He is determined to keep learning about American politics and government through on the ground experience.
As a student Rob was fascinated with US history, the presidential primaries, and the US presidents. Rob holds a B.A. from the University of California Santa Barbara where he majored in History. In his free time, Rob enjoys watching and reading the news. He also enjoys sitcoms, and still loves “I Love Lucy”, and is a fan of the newer comedies like VEEP, too. Rob also enjoys volunteering for the Feminist Majority, Planned Parenthood, and for the LA LGBT Center.
